About Bill Burns
A lifelong resident of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Bill Burns has deep roots in the community he calls home. His entrepreneurial spirit began early—at just a 4th grader, he started his first job selling golf balls on the Jeffersonville Elks golf course. Today, he is the proud owner of Southern Indiana’s largest RE/MAX office. Since becoming a REALTOR® in 2001 and Broker/Owner of RE/MAX FIRST in 2002, Bill has built a reputation for excellence in real estate.
Committed to Community
Jeffersonville isn’t just where Bill lives—it’s where he invests his time, energy, and resources. Passionate about giving back, he actively supports several organizations that make a meaningful impact. Bill is a proud supporter of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, helping provide critical care for children in need. He is also involved with the Clark County Youth Shelter, an organization dedicated to offering guidance and support to at-risk youth. His commitment to service extends to the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army, both of which provide essential aid during times of crisis. Additionally, he works closely with the Center for Lay Ministries, an organization that supports local families in need, and serves on The Federal Reserve Bank – St. Louis Branch, contributing his insights to economic and community development initiatives.
Public Service & Leadership
In 2019, Bill was elected as District 2 Councilman for the City of Jeffersonville—a district that holds a special place in his heart. It is where he grew up, where he raised his children, and where he continues to live and work. His deep connection to the community drives his passion for public service, and he remains committed to enhancing the quality of life for residents. Whether through business leadership, community involvement, or public service, Bill is dedicated to making Jeffersonville a better place to live, work, and play.

Bill has been married to his wife, Angie, since 1993. They have two children, Sophia (27, married to Abraham, Grandson Reuben) and Leo (21, married to Sarah, expecting June 2023). Bill and his family are active members of Southeast Christian Church – Indiana campus. On the weekends, you might find Burns and his family enjoying downtown Jeffersonville at The RiverStage or a local restaurant.
